Troop/Group Activity Approval Forms (TGAA)
The Troop Group Activity Form :
• Submitted for any high risk/ overnight/ camping activities (exceptions: GSNNJ programs (ie LINK activities) and Chatham GS organized events (unless you are the organizer of an event like bowling, square dance, etc)
• Completed by the organizer of a Service Unit event (younger girl encampment, square dance, GWL) in which case participating troops do NOT need to submit a TGAA
• Submitted/approved 2 weeks prior to the event
• Must be accompanied by a COI (certificate of insurance) if the facility does not appear on the GSNNJ website https://www.gsnnj.org/content/dam/gsnnj-redesign/documents/COIs%20On%20File%20revision%203%2029%2023.pdf. Call Customer Care at 973-248-8200 and ask to speak to a Customer Care Specialist at any one of our Service Centers.
• For trips lasting more than two nights complete and submit an Intent to Travel Form. (This form can be used for three nights on weekends that include an official federal holiday).
• Must include a copy of the certification of required qualified volunteers (First Aider, etc) when necessary
The applicant will only be contacted if there is a question or the TGAA is NOT approved.

Permission Slips
Permission Slips are required for any activity/trip scheduled outside the normal meeting place/time for insurance purposes. Permission slips must be retained for one year after the event.
Meeting Place
Troop leaders (01) log in to GSNNJ to specify their Meeting Place in the online registration system under the My Troops | Troop Meeting Information section. YYou can enter two Meeting Places in case you sometimes meet at school and sometimes meet at home, at the library or elsewhere.
